Bowen therapy in North Worcestershire & Knighton, Powys

Feel more comfortable. Move more freely.

Gentle, personalised Bowen therapy to support pain relief, recovery, movement and wellbeing. Helping you get back to the things that matter to you.

What is Bowen therapy?

The Bowen Technique is a gentle, hands-on treatment that uses precise, subtle movements over muscles and connective tissue to support the nervous system and encourage the body’s natural healing response.

A neatly folded, soft teal therapy blanket resting on a padded treatment couch, its fabric finely textured and inviting, in a calm, uncluttered Bowen therapy room. The couch sits centrally on a warm wooden floor, with a small side table holding neatly arranged towels and a glass water carafe. Soft daylight filters through a frosted window, creating diffused, gentle illumination and subtle shadows that emphasize the fabric and surfaces. The atmosphere feels professional, safe, and soothing. Photographed at eye level with a shallow depth of field, the foreground details are pin-sharp while the background fades into a gentle blur, conveying photographic realism and a serene clinical yet homely feel suitable for a health practice.

What can Bowen therapy help with?

The treatment is gentle and does not involve significant force. As a result, it is suitable for people of all ages and can be adapted for an equally wide range of injuries and health conditions.

Many people seek Bowen treatment for persistent pain or symptoms that are affecting their daily lives and have not improved with other approaches, including:

  • Back, neck and shoulder discomfort
  • Muscle tension and stiffness
  • Joint discomfort and restricted movement
  • Sports and exercise-related injury
  • Hip, knee and ankle discomfort
  • Headaches and tension-related symptoms
  • Stress and feelings of tension
  • Sleep difficulties and difficulty relaxing
  • General aches and pains
  • Postural tension and muscular imbalance

Bowen therapy is often also relied upon as part of many individuals’ general wellbeing routine, particularly when they feel physically tense, run down or in need of time to relax.

About me

After experiencing the benefits of Bowen during my own recovery from multiple spinal fractures, I was inspired to train as a practitioner in 2017. I find it incredibly rewarding to help people get back to living their lives more comfortably, often pain-free. I offer gentle, personalised treatments from clinics across North Worcestershire and Knighton, Powys, helping people of all ages feel their best.

Testimonials

“After years of playing amateur sport, sacroiliac discomfort and pain led me to give up running for more than two years. However, after just two Bowen treatments with Beth, I’m now running pain-free again and at 54 I can aim to rebuild my fitness and enjoy exercise again.”

— Libby, Nurse, 54

“I sought treatment after suffering painful night cramps from neuropathy for many years, as well as back ache and a stiff neck. I was amazed by how much better I felt after just one treatment. My cramps have improved, and my back and neck feel more comfortable and relaxed. The treatment was gentle, professional, reassuring, and I felt listened to throughout. I would recommend Bowen Therapy to anyone looking for a gentle approach to helping with aches, tension, and muscle discomfort. I’m really pleased with the results and intend to continue regular treatment.”

— Bethan, Solicitor, 52
